Bank of Ghana - Annual Report 2002

The Bank of Ghana has published its Annual Report for the year ended 2002. In the foreword to the Annual Report governor Paul Acquah said 2002 was an important one in the history of Bank of Ghana. The Bank of Ghana Act was signed into law in January 2002. The new Act enshrines price stability as a primary policy goal for the Bank and gives operational independence to the Bank of Ghana. The Act also provides for the establishment of a Monetary Policy Committee to be responsible for formulating
