Norges Bank - Annual Report 2008

Norges Bank has recently introduced a new settlement system, notes the central bank's latest Annual Report.

The system began operating in April 2009.

The report says that Norges Bank entered into an agreement with the Italian company SIA SSB on the delivery of a new settlement system in 2006. The report notes that the central bank, in collaboration with the country's banks, prepared for the introduction by conducting extensive testing of the new system and providing training on how to use it.
