Bank of Portugal - Annual Report 2003

The Bank of Portugal has published its Annual Report for the year ended 2003. In 2003 the Portuguese economy went into recession. For the second consecutive year, the growth differential of economic activity between Portugal and the euro area as a whole was negative, -0.4 and -1.6 percentage points in 2002 and 2003 respectively, the annual report said.
