People: IMF appoints new head of Independent Evaluation Office
Iceland names director of financial stability and Russia appoints head of banking regulation
IMF: Charles Collyns has been selected by the executive board of the International Monetary Fund as director of the Independent Evaluation Office (IEO), the Fund announced on October 14.
Collyns will head the IMF office from February 1, 2017, succeeding Moíses Schwartz, and will serve a single six-year term. The executive board noted it has the power to extend his term by no more than one year "in exceptional circumstances".
