Sarb review calls for changes to payment frameworks

An independent committee will be formed within the next six months to improve the enforcement framework of South Africa's payment system, a report authored by the South African Reserve Bank (Sarb) says.

The recommendation is one of many laid out in the Review of the effectiveness of the Payments Association of South Africa, which examines the effectiveness of the payment system management body, the Payments Association of South Africa (Pasa).

Recommendations were compiled from stakeholder
