Governors of East African central banks "have done extremely well" in their jobs, a former president of the African Development Bank said today (July 15).

Speaking at an event marking the Bank of Uganda's fiftieth anniversary, Donald Kaberuka praised the central banks in the region for managing to "balance the competing goals" they pursued.
