EBA publishes first complete list of European O-SIIs

The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published the first full list of European banks designated as "other systemically important institutions" (O-SIIs). A total of 43 financial institutions were included on the list.

It is the first complete list of O-SIIs in the European Union (EU), and the first to be drawn up according to uniform criteria, the EBA said on April 25. There nonetheless appears to be national variations in how regulators of similar-sized economies apply the rules.

O-SIIs are
