European Commission unveils capital markets union ‘action plan’

The European Commission today (September 30) unveiled its "action plan" for a capital markets union (CMU) in Europe - a collection of measures aimed at liberalising finance across the region. It presented specific proposals for reforming the regulation of securitisation markets and investments in infrastructure projects.
