Greek public debt is now "highly unsustainable" according to IMF staff, who on July 14 stressed the need for debt relief that goes "far beyond what Europe has been willing to consider so far".

The country needs to raise an additional €85 billion ($93.5 billion) to cover its costs between now and the end of 2018, staff said, in line with Euro Summit estimates.
