‘Technical workers’ are on a 72-hour strike
The technical workers of the Central Bank of Brazil – employees carrying out customer service as well as technical and administrative support services – are on their second day of a 72-hour strike, demanding a modernisation of their career.
It's the fifth time this group of workers have gone on strike this year, and the longest so far, but the central bank's activities "have not been affected" by this walkout, since the institution has "a contingency plan" for these situations, according to a
