Bank of England governor notes ‘quickest job creation on record' since he took office

Mark Carney, governor of the Bank of England (BoE), said today that job creation in the UK had been "the quickest on record" since he took office last July.

"The UK economy is starting to head back to normal," Carney added during a speech in Glasgow.

But minutes of the UK central bank's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting earlier this month – released today – highlighted concerns about stagnant wages despite falling unemployment.
