UK central bank launches interactive banknote application
The Bank of England (BoE) today launched an interactive banknotes application (app) for use on mobile devices, aimed at building public awareness of the security features embedded in its banknotes.
The app, available for mobile phones and tablets running Apple's and Google's operating systems, is the UK central bank's second, following on from last year's launch of a virtual tour of the BoE's premises on Threadneedle Street in London.
