Lagarde calls for pre-emptive action on eurozone deflation

International Monetary Fund (IMF) managing director Christine Lagarde today in Brussels called on the European Central Bank (ECB) to "act pre-emptively to stall further declines in inflation and inflation expectations", while in Rome, ECB president Mario Draghi said the bank would continue to pursue price stability "by all the necessary means".
