Bank of Slovenia lifts lid on bank health checks


The Bank of Slovenia has lifted the lid on the tools it is using to assess the health of the country's biggest banks, in a "comprehensive exercise" described as a "methodology experiment" ahead of next year's Europe-wide assessment.

There are "three important building blocks" to the Slovenian exercise – an asset quality review, a bottom-up stress test, and a "top-down challenge" of the stress test results that will be conducted by independent consultants.
