BIS committee hails Basel III progress


The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Basel committee has praised the "considerable progress" of countries in implementing Basel III regulatory frameworks, despite the absence of final rules in more than half the Basel committee member countries.

In a report to the G-20 finance ministers and central bank governors, the committee reveals that 11 of the 27 Basel committee member countries have their final Basel III capital rules "in force", while a further three – Argentina, Brazil and Russ
