RBA targeted by cyber attacks


The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) today revealed it "has on occasion been the target of cyber attacks", after local media reports suggested the central bank had been targeted by malicious software developed in China.

An RBA statement insisted the cyber attacks were neutralised by its "comprehensive security arrangements", which isolated the attacks and prevented viruses from spreading across the RBA network.
