Czech National Bank enlists mobile app in fight against forgery
The Czech National Bank (CNB) yesterday unveiled a new mobile app in its continuing fight against currency forgery, on the same day as it announced another drop in the annual figure of counterfeit notes and coins seized.
The app, which works on mobile devices using Apple's iOS and Google's Android operating systems, features detailed pictures and descriptions of all valid versions of Czech banknotes and coins. This allows users to compare the cash in their hand with specimens of what it should
