Central Bank of Nigeria denies Sanusi arrest warrant rumours

The Central Bank of Nigeria has dismissed rumours that the speaker of the Nigerian parliament issued a warrant for the arrest of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the governor of the central bank, last week.

Reports initially circulated in local media that Aminu Tambuwal, the speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, had issued a warrant for Sanusi's arrest that would be used if he did not appear before the parliament in a matter of days.

However, a spokesman for the central bank said the reports
