BoE begins search to replace King

The Bank of England (BoE) today (September 14) launched the hunt for the next governor of the institution by publishing a job advert in the Economist magazine. This is the first time the central bank has publicly advertised the position.

The advert lists the qualities candidates must demonstrate, including previous work experience at a central bank or similar institution and strong leadership, management and policy skills. Applicants are required to have an "advanced" understanding of financial
