New Zealand’s Bollard reveals next move

Alan Bollard-governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand

The outgoing governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Alan Bollard, will become the executive director of the Secretariat of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) when he leaves the central bank.

Bollard announced in January this year that he would not seek a third term at the helm of the central bank. The decision sparked a worldwide search for his successor and resulted in the selection of Graeme Wheeler, a former World Bank official, to take over as governor when Bollard leaves in
