BIS chief advocates deeper policy cooperation


Jaime Caruana, the general manager of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), on August 31 used his speech at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's 36th Economic Policy Symposium in Jackson Hole to call for improved international cooperation to extend to monetary policy as well.

The text of the speech was released today (September 3) and revealed the clear demands the BIS chief made of central bankers last week.
