Fault found in new Namibian banknotes


The Bank of Namibia has alerted the public to a problem with "some" new banknotes, just weeks after they entered circulation.

"The Bank has observed that the diamond-shaped feature on some of the N$10 and N$20 banknotes is cracking after multiple folding or handling. From a banknote technical printing perspective, this phenomenon is supposed not to be the case," said the central bank.
