Fed policy-makers hint at further stimulus

Further monetary easing by the US Federal Reserve appears likely following the July 11 release of the minutes from the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting in June.

The minutes revealed that a number of members expressed the view that "further policy stimulus likely would be necessary". The minutes added "several others noted that additional policy action could be warranted if the economic recovery were to lose momentum".

At the meeting, the FOMC decided to keep the target range for
