Second wave of CSDs sign T2S framework agreement

The European Central Bank (ECB) today (July 3) revealed 15 central securities depositories (CSDs) have signed the Target2 Securities (T2S) framework agreement, in addition to the nine that joined the project in May.

T2S is a planned IT system for the settlement of securities in Europe, which will offer harmonised "delivery-versus-payment settlement in central bank money" in a variety of currencies for "almost all heavily traded securities circulating in Europe", according to the T2S marketing
