ECB survey finds worsening borrowing conditions for SMEs
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) faced a "considerable worsening" in borrowing conditions in the eurozone during the past six months, according to a new survey by the European Central Bank (ECB).
The survey found that, while borrowing needs among SMEs increased from October 2011 to March 2012, a greater number of companies faced more difficulty in accessing bank credit compared with the previous six months. The net figure for SMEs that reported it as more difficult to secure credit was
