Irish central bank appoints director of economics
The Central Bank of Ireland today announced the appointment of Lars Frisell as director of economics and chief economist.
Frisell is currently the chief economist at Finansinspektionen, the Swedish financial supervisory authority, a role he has held since 2009.
In that role he was responsible for establishing a new economics department, leading the authority's policy work and macro-prudential analysis, and supporting operational departments in supervisory activities.
