EU leaders present plan for growth


The prime ministers of 12 European Union (EU) member countries today (February 20) [ASSET_HREF_ERROR] a joint letter setting out a "plan for growth in Europe".

The group, which included the prime ministers from the UK, Italy, Slovakia and Spain, said they had met at a "perilous moment" for economies across Europe. "Growth has stalled. Unemployment is rising. Citizens and businesses are facing their toughest conditions for years," the letter said.
