Vietnam receives first tranche of loan from Asian Development Bank

State Bank of Vietnam, Hanoi

The State Bank of Vietnam on February 13 announced that the first tranche of monies under an investment agreement with the Asian Development Bank had been signed off.

The governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Nguyen Van Binh and Stephen Groff, vice-president of the Asian Development Bank, met at the central bank's headquarters in Hanoi as the first tranche of funds, some $121 million, of a loan intended to help the country develop its power transmission system, was released.
