
New South African banknotes will portray image of Mandela

The South African Reserve Bank is producing a new banknote series, featuring images of Nelson Mandela – the first president to be democratically elected in the country.
Current president Jacob Zuma said the redesign was a "befitting tribute to a man who became a symbol of this country's struggle for freedom, human rights and democracy".
