Venezuela completes repatriation of gold reserves


The Central Bank of Venezuela has announced the completion of its operation to return 160 tonnes of gold to the vaults of the central bank. The precious metal had previously been held in various European and US banks.

"On Monday, January 30 the last shipment arrived," said the central bank in a statement, adding: "The process was completed quickly, safely and efficiently."
