South African bank creates new role for ex-central banker


FirstRand, a large South African bank, announced on January 25 it had appointed Yvette Singh, the former deputy registrar of banks at the Reserve Bank of South Africa (SARB), as public policy and regulatory affairs executive.

A spokesperson for the bank confirmed this was a newly created position and said the effective date for the hire was January
