Fed reveals design of new interest rate projections

The Federal Reserve has released two templates outlining how members of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) plan to communicate their projections of the appropriate level of the federal funds rate.

Minutes from the FOMC's meeting on December 13, a subcommittee on communications, made up of FOMC members, recommended an approach for incorporating information about participants' projections of appropriate future monetary policy into the Summary of Economic Projections (SEP), which the FOMC
