Japan to support EFSF bonds as S&P strips AAA rating

The decision by Standard & Poor's to downgrade the credit rating of bonds issued by the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) from AAA to AA+ will not affect Japanese investments in the bonds, according to Takehiko Nakao, vice-minister of international affairs for Japan's Ministry of Finance.
