An International Monetary Fund (IMF) paper published on January 13 proposes a more advanced toolkit for policy-makers to identify systemic risks arising from cross-border fiscal vulnerabilities.
The paper's authors – Andrea Schaechter, Emre Alper, Elif Arbatli, Carlos Caceres, Giovanni Callegari, Marc Gerard, Jiri Jonas, Tidiane Kinda, Anna Shabunina and Anke Weber – present a range of tools and indicators to analyse fiscal vulnerabilities and risks, in an attempt to capture differences and
