Fed appoints new special adviser

Jon Faust, the Louis J Maccini professor of economics at Johns Hopkins University was on Friday announced as a new special adviser to the Office of Board Members at the US Federal Reserve Board.

Faust, who is also the director of the Center for Financial Economics at Johns Hopkins University, will take up his position on January 17.

Faust is set to join Andrew Levin – another special adviser – in "contributing to the monetary policy process and in staffing the Federal Open Market Committee's
