New appointments for two Basel-based committees


Agustín Carstens, the governor of the Bank of Mexico, was on Monday confirmed as chair of the Bank for International Settlements' (BIS) Consultative Council for the Americas. William Dudley, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, was on the same day appointed chairman of the committee on the Global Financial System (CGFS).
