Draghi open to further bond purchases

Mario Draghi, governor of the Bank of Italy, has suggested he is prepared to back a continuation of the European Central Bank's (ECB) current policy of buying government bonds of beleaguered sovereigns as part of the ECB's Securities Market Programme (SMP) when he takes over as head of the eurozone central bank next week.
