
ECB announces new T2S start date

The European Central Bank's (ECB) Governing Council has revealed the new start date for the TARGET2-Securities (T2S) project.
In its regular publication of decisions other than those on interest rates, released on Monday, the ECB made the brief announcement that on October 20, 2011, "the Governing Council decided that T2S would go live nine months later than planned". This means the system will activate in June 2015, rather than September 2014.
