Application process opens for board member at Bank of Finland


The Parliamentary Supervisory Council of the Bank of Finland on Friday formally opened the application process to fill a vacant position on the board.

Pentti Hakkarainen's five-year term on the board of the central bank ends on February 1, 2012. He is currently the deputy governor in charge of financial stability issues, currency supply services, accounting and risk control. He is also chairman of the board of the Financial Supervisory Authority.

The Parliamentary Supervisory Council asked that
