UK’s FPC changes tack on capital requirements


The Financial Policy Committee (FPC) on Wednesday released a statement following its policy meeting on September 20, 2011. The document asked that banks "take any opportunity they had to strengthen their levels of capital and liquidity", but only if it did not constrain lending to the wider economy.
