Pakistan accepts governor’s resignation

Shahid Kardar, the governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, has stepped down after Pakistan's government finally agreed to accept his resignation.

Last Wednesday, reports emerged that Kardar, who joined the central bank in September, had handed his resignation to Pakistan's finance minister, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.
