US banks at risk of downgrade following Dodd-Frank

Moody's Investors Service on Thursday placed the deposit, senior debt and senior subordinated debt ratings of Bank of America Corporation, Citigroup, Wells Fargo & Company and their subsidiaries on review for possible downgrade.

Currently, the banks' ratings incorporate an unusual amount of 'uplift' from credit rating agency Moody's systemic support assumptions that were increased during the financial crisis.

Following the enactment of the Dodd-Frank legislation, the credit rating agency is now
