Azerbaijan working to improve banking sector

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, has revealed it is working with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan to improve corporate governance at the country's banks. Training is being offered to bank board members in oversight and risk management best practices.

IFC, together with the World Bank and the central bank, recently brought together 74 bank executive directors and supervisory board chairmen for a workshop called Modernising bank governance. The workshop
