Draghi favourite to next head ECB: poll

Fourty-three percent of participants in a CentralBanking.com poll have backed Mario Draghi, the governor of the Bank of Italy, to take the presidency of the European Central Bank in October.

The poll, which went live on February 18 at 12:34, London time, shows that respondents favoured Draghi over compromise candidate Erkki Liikanen, the governor of the Bank of Finland, who received 26% of the vote in second place.
