
Namibia introduces interbank lending rates

Paul Hartman, the deputy-governor of the Bank of Namibia, on Wednesday addressed a gathering of senior officials and members of the banking industry including the deputy minister of finance, Calle Schlettwein, and the president of the Bankers Association of Namibia, Erastus Hoveka, to unveil the country's first ever interbank lending rates.
"It is my great pleasure to be here this afternoon to witness the launch of the Namibian Interbank Reference Rates to be popularly known as the WIBAR," said
