Trichet signals no change in June as ECB holds

The European Central Bank's Governing Council on Thursday voted to keep its main refinancing rate unchanged at 1.25% at a meeting in Helsinki.

ECB president Jean-Claude Trichet said: "With interest rates across the entire maturity spectrum remaining low and the monetary policy stance still accommodative, we will continue to monitor very closely all developments with respect to upside risks to price stability."
