Fed reveals details on emergency funding recipients

Data revealing the names and details of banks that received emergency loans through the Federal Reserve's discount window was released yesterday, marking the end of a 28-month-long legal dispute with Bloomberg.

The loan records, which amount to more than 25,000 files, were released by the Federal Reserve on Thursday and are only available by compact disc on a request basis. CentralBanking.com was unable to gain instant access to the data. However, reports from the Wall Street Journal on Thursday
