BoE’s Posen won’t pursue second term on MPC if wrong on economy
Adam Posen, an external member of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), on Sunday said he would not seek re-election to the rate-setting committee if his view about the economy turned out to be wrong.
In an interview with the Guardian, a British daily, Posen said: "If I have made the wrong call, not only will I switch my vote, I would not pursue a second term. They should have somebody who gets it right and not me. I am accountable for my performance. I'm holding my nerve
