EBA appoints first executive director


Adam Farkas, the former head of Hungary's financial regulator, was on Thursday confirmed as the first executive director of the European Banking Authority (EBA).

Farkas's confirmation by the European Parliament on Thursday follows his nomination by the EBA's board of supervisors on March 2 and an open hearing held at the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee on March 17.
