Libya’s Bengdara in Istanbul: report

Farhat Bengdara, the governor of the Central Bank of Libya, has relocated to Istanbul, the Financial Times, a business newspaper, reported on Wednesday.

The paper said Bengdara confirmed that he was in Istanbul, Turkey, in an email sent on Tuesday night. The whereabouts of Bengdara, who is also a vice-chairman of UniCredit, an Italian banking group, had been unknown since late February. The paper reported that Bengdara said Libya's secretary of planning and finance had been appointed acting
